NHI Lookup

NHI Lookup can be used to find a current or new patient's NHI number. Follow the instructions below to use NHI Lookup

New Patients

  1. Go to Patients screen and click "+ New Patient".

  2. Add in the patient details (Name, DOB, Gender etc).

    Note

    The more patient details you enter, the better the NHI number match

  3. Click Lookup NHI on the top right which will open a new window. NHI Lookup Button

  4. Select the best match. Elixir will show the best match at the top of the list. A match score is on the left hand side and the preferred name will be highlighted in yellow. select NHI
  5. The NHI number will populate in the patient's NHI field.

Current Patients

  1. Go to Patients Screen, search for the patient and open the patient details
  2. Click the Edit button Top right of screen
  3. Click the Lookup NHI button at the top right of the pop-up window.
  4. Your NHI matches will appear. Choose the NHI number you need then press Select and this will populate in the patient's NHI field.
