Patient Tracking

It can be difficult to keep updated on the progress of patients along their healthcare journey. Within Elixir we have tools to make tracking these patients simpler. We recommend utilising two areas of Elixir together to keep track of your patient's journey.

Referrals

When a patient comes into your clinic for a certain problem, create a referral.

• Choose a title that quickly identifies the referral e.g. Left Knee Injury or R Ear Hearing Loss
• Enter the referrer and ACC information if applicable.
• Use the Referral Status (this will default to new when creating a referral). The options Elixir provides are:
  • New
  • Triage
  • Waiting Surgery
  • Active
  • Discharge

Tip

The referral status are used to identify where a patient is within their journey. This status will appear in the Referral Status Report

Referral Status Report

Referral Status Report allows you to see all patient referrals in Elixir, their current status and appointments booked against that referral. Referral Status Report can be a powerful tool to help you keeping track of your patients.

Navigate to Office > Referral Status Report.

Use the filters to get more granular information:

• Consultant - Select which consultant's patients you wish to display.
• Date Range - Choose a date range if required.
• Status - Filter by status of the referral.
